The day hike from Namche to Khumjung is a 4.5 kilometre (2.8 miles). It takes around 3-4 hours and involves some uphill and downhill sections, so it’s important to acclimatize properly. The hike passes through traditional Sherpa villages, including Khunde and Khumjung, which are known as the green hidden valley. After lunch in Khumjung, you can visit the Khumjung monastery, where a yeti skull is believed to be housed, making it an intriguing highlight of the hike.<\/span><\/p>
