Description
Chulu West Peak is a popular peak for climbing located in the Annapurna region of Nepal. The peak stands at an elevation of 6,419 meters and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. The climb to the summit is challenging, but with the help of experienced guides and porters, you can safely make your way to the top.
To climb Chulu West Peak, you will first trek to Chulu Base Camp, which is located at an altitude of 4,900 meters. From there, you will make your way to Chulu High Camp, which stands at an elevation of 5,530 meters. After spending a night at High Camp, you will begin your ascent to the summit of Chulu West Peak.
The climb to the summit will take you through steep rocky terrain and will require good physical fitness and proper acclimatization. The views from the summit are absolutely stunning, and it is a truly rewarding experience to stand atop the peak.
Once we’ve successfully summited Chulu West, we’ll cross the famous Thorong La Pass at an altitude of 5,416 meters. This is the highest point of the trek and offers stunning views of the surrounding peaks, including Dhaulagiri and Annapurna. Finally, we’ll reach Jomsom, where we’ll take a flight back to Pokhara. Itinerary
Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you’ll be transferred to your hotel. You can spend the rest of the day exploring the city and soaking in its rich cultural and historical landmarks.
You’ll start the day with a visit to the historic Pashupatinath Temple. Next, you’ll visit the impressive Boudhanath Stupa, one of the largest stupas in the world. In the afternoon, you’ll have free day for last minute shipping in city.
After will do trek briefing and welcome dinner in typical Nepalis restaurant with cultural program.
After an early breakfast, you’ll drive to Besishahar, which is the starting point of your trek. From there, you’ll walk to Nagdi, which is a small village located at an altitude of 1311m. This will be a gentle introduction to trekking, and it should take around 5-6 hours to reach Nagdi.
Today, you’ll continue your trek and walk from Nagdi to Jagat. The trail will take you through beautiful forests, and you’ll pass by several small villages along the way. Jagat is located at an altitude of 1341m, and it should take around 6-7 hours to reach there.
You’ll start your day with a steep climb, and then the trail will level off as you make your way to Dharapani. The village is situated at an altitude of 1960m, and it should take around 7-8 hours to reach there.
Today’s trek will take you through beautiful forests and past several waterfalls. You’ll cross a suspension bridge over the Marsyangdi River and make your way to Chame, which is the district headquarters of the Manang District. Chame is located at an altitude of 2710m, and it should take around 5-6 hours to reach there.
You’ll start your day with a steep climb through forests, and then the trail will level off as you walk through a valley with stunning views of the Himalayas. You’ll reach the village of Pisang, which is located at an altitude of 3300m, after around 5-6 hours of trekking.
Today, you’ll walk through a dry and barren landscape with stunning views of the Annapurna range. You’ll pass through several small villages before reaching Manang, which is a popular spot for acclimatization. Manang is located at an altitude of 3540m, and it should take around 5-6 hours to reach there.
Today will be a rest day in Manang, which will allow your body to acclimatize to the high altitude. You can take a short hike to explore the area, and your guide will give you some tips on how to stay healthy at high altitude.
We’ll start early in the morning, walking uphill along a narrow path that winds its way through yak pastures and moraines. Our destination is the Chulu Base Camp, located at an altitude of 4,200m. It’s a challenging trek, but the views of Annapurna and other surrounding peaks are simply breathtaking. We’ll spend the night in tents at the base camp, preparing ourselves for the climb ahead.
we’ll set up our tents and rest for the night. The next day, we’ll make our way to Chulu High Camp (5,530m), a trek that takes around 4-5 hours. Here, we’ll enjoy dinner and rest before our summit attempt.
This is the day we’ve been waiting for – the summit day! We’ll start very early in the morning, before dawn, and begin the climb up Chulu West. It’s a challenging ascent, but our experienced guides will be with us every step of the way, ensuring our safety and success. We’ll climb steadily, taking breaks as needed, until we reach the summit, located at an altitude of 6,419m. The panoramic views from the top are absolutely stunning. After spending some time at the summit, we’ll descend back to the base camp, where we’ll rest and recover.
This is an extra day that we’ve built into the itinerary in case we need an additional day for the summit or if we need to rest and recover. We’ll take it easy today, enjoying the beautiful scenery and reflecting on our amazing achievement.
After a well-deserved rest day, we’ll begin our descent towards Thorong Phedi. The trail is steep and challenging, but the stunning views will keep us motivated. We’ll spend the night in a tea house in Thorong Phedi, resting up for the big climb tomorrow.
This is the most challenging day of the trek, as we cross the Thorong La Pass, located at an altitude of 5,416m. We’ll start early in the morning, walking uphill for several hours until we reach the pass. The views from the top are incredible, but it’s important to keep moving to avoid altitude sickness. We’ll then descend towards Muktinath, a sacred site for both Hindus and Buddhists. We’ll spend the night in a tea house in Muktinath, celebrating our accomplishment.
Today’s trek is relatively easy, as we walk downhill towards Jomsom, located at an altitude of 2,743m. We’ll pass through picturesque villages and beautiful scenery, enjoying the final stretch of our journey. In Jomsom, we’ll celebrate our achievement with a well-deserved meal and drinks.
We’ll take an early morning flight from Jomsom to Pokhara, enjoying stunning views of the mountains and valleys below. In Pokhara, we’ll have some time to relax and explore the city, shopping for souvenirs and enjoying the local cuisine.
Today, we’ll drive from Pokhara back to Kathmandu, passing through beautiful countryside and charming villages along the way. In Kathmandu, we’ll have some free time to explore the city, visiting temples, markets and museums.
Today marks the end of our amazing adventure. We’ll transfer you to the airport for your flight home, bidding you farewell with warm memories of the beautiful mountains, stunning landscapes, and incredible experiences we’ve shared together.
