Island Peak is a trekking peak located in the Khumbu region of Nepal, in the heart of the Himalayan mountain range. It’s surrounded by some of the world’s tallest and most majestic peaks, including Mount Everest, and is known for its stunning views of these mountains and the surrounding valleys and glaciers.
Trekking to Island Peak is a journey through a diverse and dramatic landscape, from lush forests and fertile farmlands to high alpine meadows and icy glaciers. Itinerary
Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you’ll be transferred to your hotel. You can spend the rest of the day exploring the city and soaking in its rich cultural and historical landmarks.
You’ll start the day with a visit to the historic Pashupatinath Temple. Next, you’ll visit the impressive Boudhanath Stupa, one of the largest stupas in the world. In the afternoon, you’ll have free day for last minute shipping in city.
After will do trek briefing and welcome dinner in typical Nepalis restaurant with cultural program.
After an early morning flight to Lukla, you’ll begin your trek by walking downhill towards Phakding. You’ll cross suspension bridges over the Dudh Koshi River and enjoy views of the surrounding hills.
Today, you’ll trek to Namche Bazaar, a bustling Sherpa town that is the gateway to the Khumbu region. Along the way, you’ll hike through lush forests and cross the Hillary Suspension Bridge over the Dudh Koshi River.
Today is a rest day in Namche Bazaar to help you acclimatize to the high altitude. You can explore the town and visit the local market, which is known for its traditional handicrafts and textiles. You can also hike to the nearby Everest View Hotel for panoramic views of Mount Everest.
Today’s trek takes you to Tengboche, a scenic village that is home to one of the oldest and most famous monasteries in the region. Along the way, you’ll enjoy stunning views of Mount Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam.
